The Monolith: Hive, is a mutation of The Monolith. For an overview of the operations common to them both click here.
The Monolith: Hive starts with a USB memory stick. A single command infects the host computer with all the necessary applications, libraries and scripts.
It then proceeds - like The Monolith - to download audio streams, perform speech recognition, make sense, create a voice and speak.
At the same time that first machine also connects to all the other machines it can find on the local network that make up the hive and replicates itself. One by one the machines become infected and begin to speak.
Physically this monolith hangs like a fat stalactite from the ceiling. The computers upside down, the cables running across the ceiling.
The operating system and all the applications used in both monoliths are open source.
