Inspired by the sleep light built into Apple computers.
Several hundred LEDs behind a plastic screen. Each LED circuit has a slightly different phase cycle. Consequently they fall in and out of sync, in pairs and in groups.
Regardless of any apparent structure each LED circuit is physically independent.
