Lacuna: a missing fragment in a book or manuscript, a cavity or depression, especially in bone.
In the screen prints, each layer constitutes an individual surface derived from a three-dimensional anatomical model. Each surface is rotated in all three dimensions, but to differing degrees in relation to each other, and yet in the final composite print they coalesce into a single, coherent, and visually discrete three-dimensional object.

First Lacuna print. Two dimensional layers taken from different three dimensional viewpoints, as a result the bone and its cavity are misaligned.
