Series of prints. Portraits. 3D model of a human figure scanned with the front-facing TrueDepth camera on an iPhone, ordinarily used for facial recognition.

The stability of the process and of the subject affect the accuracy of the scan. These scans take several minutes to capture and distortions arise from movement in the subject, as well as from variations in the pace and distance of the hand operating the scanner as it moves over its target. These particular scans combine meshes with textures, but tend to confuse materials during transitions between materials.
